Jesus Profecies His Death and Resurrection

"Since the Passover of the Jews was near, Jesus went up to Jerusalem. He found in the temple area those who sold oxen, sheep, and doves, as well as the money-changers seated there. He made a whip out of cords and drove them all out of the temple area, with the sheep and oxen, and spilled the coins of the money-changers and overturned their tables, and to those who sold doves he said, “Take these out of here, and stop making my Father’s house a marketplace.” His disciples recalled the words of scripture, “Zeal for your house will consume me.” At this the Jews answered and said to him, “What sign can you show us for doing this?” Jesus answered and said to them, “Destroy this temple and in three days I will raise it up.” The Jews said, “This temple has been under construction for forty-six years, and you will raise it up in three days?” But he was speaking about the temple of his body. Therefore, when he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this, and they came to believe the scripture and the word Jesus had spoken" Jn 2:13-22.

We see from this passage an exposition of fantastic and profound Divine wisdom.  Jesus intentionally confounded his enemies, the Jews who resisted him, and allowed them to remain confused about the temple.  He did so by speaking the truth.  He did this so that his disciples would discover the profound and Divine nature of the prophecy concerning his death and resurrection.  It was done for their benefit.  In summary:

Benedict's Resignation

With this background let us examine the words of Pope Benedict in his Declaratio (resignation document). “I declare that I resign from the ministry of the Bishop of Rome, successor of Saint Peter, which was entrusted to me through the cardinals on April 19, 2005, in such a way that as from February 28, 2013, at 8:00 p.m., the see of Rome, the See of Saint Peter, will be vacant and a conclave will be convened, through whoever has competence, to elect the new Supreme Pontiff.”  It is clear that he resigned the ministry and not the munus (office) as many commentators have pointed out.  I will not dwell on that important point.  Rather I wish to consider the phrase “…a conclave will be convened, through whoever has competence, to elect the new Supreme Pontiff.”  Many Catholics, clergy and laity alike, interpret this to mean that he clearly intended to resign and clearly intended that there be a conclave to replace him.  I submit the opposite.  He prophesied a conclave but did not intend that there be one, just like Jesus prophesied his crucifixion that no human would want.  Benedict knew that his enemies would hold a conclave, albeit an invalid one.  Jesus knew that his enemies would crucify Him. Furthermore, the phrase “through whoever has competence” refers to those cardinals who had the competence to see that he did not resign the munus, but who went ahead with guiddy delight to hold a conclave.  They behaved like the chief priest and the pharisees who had the competence and the authority to stop calling for the crucifixion of Christ but who nevertheless relentlessly demanded it from the Roman authority.  Just like Jesus designed his prophecy to confound his enemies Benedict prophesied in a way to confound his enemies – namely those Modernistic and Freemasonic cardinals who wanted to change the Church.  I say “Freemasonic” because Mary prophesied that in this terrible century, the Freemasons would be in power.

So we see the following structural parallels:

Christ

Benedict

He intentionally confounded his enemies with truth and strengthened the faith of his true friends later on with the prophetic fulfillment of the resurrection.

He used his incomplete resignation to confound his enemies and to expose the errors and influence of Modernism and Freemasonry to his true Catholic friends later on.

He prophesied somehing evil – his crucifixion.

He prophesied something evil – an invalid conclave.

He knew that his enemies would carry out the crucifixion.

He knew that his enemies would carry out an invalid conclave.

He did not intend that there be a crucifixion.

He did not intend that there be an invalid conclave.

He prophesied something good – his resurrection.

He prayed for something good – Mary’s assistance.

Later in the Declaratio Benedict says “Let us…implore Mary, his holy Mother, to assist the Cardinal fathers in electing the new Supreme Pontiff.”  Indeed, Mary’s assistenace was sorely needed to help the Cardinals recognize the incomplete resignation and also to recognize other various irregularities in the 2013 conclave, which other authors have covered in detail.  Benedict was obedient to the Commandment “love your enemies” and therefore never spoke harshly to or about the Cardinals.  I say this in case one is inclined to wonder why, if the thesis I present is true, did he not rebuke his enemies more forcefully.

In his last General Audience, Benedict said  "I am not abandoning the cross, but remaining in a new way at the side of the crucified Lord."

So, what has happened?  There was an invalid conclave in 2013 that has fulfilled Mary’s prophecy to Sister Sasagawa in 1973, “Like the first Judas, the last Pope will sell my Son to the enemy. The era of the antichrist Pope will soon come.”

According to the Catechism, “The Church will enter the glory of the kingdom only through this final Passover, when she will follow her Lord in his death and Resurrection”  CCC 677. Indeed, with the present invalid, heretical and corrupt Papacy, we are witnessing the slow crucifixion and death of the Church. It would have been worse if a Freemason became a validly elected Pope. For that reason, Benedict succeded. I pray to Mary, “Please come soon for your Restoration.”
